  1. Specs: Dell XPS 13 9370, i7-8550U, 16GB DDR3 (soldered), Killer Networking 1435 networking chip (soldered), 512GB PM981 NVME Samsung SSD, Windows 11 64-bit I'm trying to replace the logic board on my XPS 13 because the old board was having issues, and the connectors directly on the networking chip were broken. One of the antenna connectors on the new wifi chip connected (after some fiddling), and this other one just refuses to connect, even after at least an hour of trying. Pictures of the connector on the chip itself and on the cable are attached. Is something broken? I know these kinds of cables are notoriously difficult to connect, so if that's the issue, any suggestions? Anyone have ideas in general?
  2. thanks for the response. any services you know of that maybe don't do system images, but mirror an OS somehow? if not, any recommendations on file sync services?
  3. i'm not exactly sure what category this product would fall under, so please lmk if there would be a more appropriate place to post this. I like having all my information on a single system, and i'm a student, so basically every computer i've ever had was a laptop. however, I have reached the point where a single laptop solution isn't cutting it anymore. so, I would like to have a PC as well as a laptop, but I would still like to maintain my single system ideal. I was thinking of like the standard remote backup imaging services that are offered, but you can have multiple computers running that OS, backing up frequently and at the end of a session, so then the other system just restores to the most recent image so it is live synced with the most recent data. is this a thing that exists?
  4. Question is if the Modi can be used as a standalone DAC without an amp
  5. Kinda a newb question, but would it be possible to use a RCA to 3.5mm cable http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021815&p_id=5612&seq=1&format=2 and hook this up to the modi through its RCA jacks and use it as a standalone DAC for headphones?
  6. No problem, it was pretty helpful.
  7. What's the difference between the e10 and e10k? Is there any big reason to buy one over the other? And portability wise, I have my laptop hooked up to a second monitor, keyboard, and mouse. I don't move it around often.
  8. It will be only on my desk, so portability is not a factor. Any idea where I could get a used e10? I haven't been able to find one on ebay
  9. I plan on trying them before buying an amp or dac, but as my laptop is a 2ish year old one that was midrange at the time I bought it, I'm doubting it will be able to power the headphones well.
  10. Okay, I don't think I'll really make use of those though. Is there any reason I should get one over the other? Even though I'm not sure if it's true, I've heard that the headphones I'm getting (AKG K702) don't work well with some amps. Are either of the monoprice/fiio e10k known for having problems with K702?
  11. What's the difference between this and the Fiio E10k?
  12. Any personal experience with it?
