Did you do it as a business, extra cash, or any other reason?

So, as the title implies, I am new to the whole forum ecosystem. So to quick off my first post here, I currently own a business that does creative production as well as fix tech-related things (computers, phones, etc.) Just want to hear from people that currently own a business, in anything, and what you have gone through and how you have been able to grow successfully from ground zero. Just looking for some tips that I can apply to my own business. Also, if you don't own a business, what do you see as an important aspect of a business, such as, marketing, community, service, and much more. Thank you, very mucho.

Who Am I? Hi everyone! My name is Kevin Villalobos-Gomez, I currently attend the Career Academy @ Truman High School as a Junior. I'm also the founder of a startup called AmazingnessOfLife Foundation. I also attend part-time running start at PSSC Skill Center. The Reason The reason I want to start a nonprofit that deal with these world problems is not because I just want to start something out of the blue, but actually help many people that suffer this everyday. Not only have I experienced one of these two problems, but many of the people I know have also suffered one or both of these problems and I want to put a stop to it or at least pave the way for others to follow. Where will the Money go? The money will be going towards registering the organization for a 501c3 and buying an official website (SquareSpace). The Reward! To show appreciation for helping us raise this amount, we will be making personalized "Thank You" videos for everyone and also explaining where your money was specifically invested to. Also, you'll feel super-awesome for donating to a great cause! With your contribution, you will not only be investing in future leaders, but you will also be helping lower suicide and bullying rates and someday eliminate them completely. What makes you Qualified? As young people, our passion is ignited to help solve this real-world problem and we are ready to do whatever is possible and use the tools at our disposal to start eliminating this problems and to pave the road for many to follow. We don't want people to look at us and see us as goof-off High Schoolers who can't accomplish anything, but to gain the trust of everyone and make them feel sure about their investment in the future. Although we may not be able to do everything, we are able to do a lot. Why should I trust YOU!? As a person who has experienced depression, to the point of where I myself thought about suicide, I not only feel committed to solving what causes this, but I also have the passion, the support, and the vision to accomplish what is necessary. Along the way, we may hit many bumps and at times some walls, but we will never give up on our overall vision, the hope of someday seeing sad faces turn to cheek-to-cheek smiles, and seeing many young and old people thrive in doing what they love best.
