  1. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX960-4GB-GDDR5-128Bit-PCI-E-HDMI-VGA-DVI-Video-Graphics-Card/122845766964?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41375%26meid%3D9a8005d9b3c9409db305e3d4a7419905%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D322894511952&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 I'm sure many of us have seen these Chinese knock offs on eBay... But apparently not enough people... It popped up on my eBay page as a popular item. Yes... It's a last gen GPU, but people still buy second hand... and they deserve to be warned. Take care.
  2. I've been trying to get back into PC gaming, but money is tight, so I've gone with the second hand hardware route... And I got screwed. I bought a SeaSonic SS-650KM PSU for only $50 on eBay. I was happy... Until it arrived. It's missing the PCI-E power cables and cpu power cable... So, I'm taking a shot in the dark and hoping someone on here has spare cables that are compatible with this PSU that they're willing to part with. I'm not asking for a hand out. I'm willing to pay. It's an older generation of the x-650, so the KM3 cables aren't compatible... Thank you.
  3. 980ti at 1370mhz matches the 1070 at 2025mhz. That's without pushing the 980ti to 1500+mhz. Just get whatever's cheaper.
  4. By that logic, Nvidia GPUs won't work with Intel CPUs because they're not from the same company..
  5. SMH.. No wonder why AMD is struggling... lol
  6. Yeah... If the bracket somehow screwed into the four mounting holes surrounding the GPU chip, then it wouldn't have been a problem... You will see it when it arrives. It'll bend the card mainly on the PCI-E connector side, since there will be no screw there. Since the connector gets bowed, installing it is a bit unnerving. It'll bend on the other side just slightly, though.
  7. You can try it. I installed that on my 980ti earlier this year. It's junk. I took it off after a week. Even the revised version bends the PCB. Even if you're tightening the thumb screws by hand, it bends horribly. If you install it lightly to where it doesn't bend the PCB, your temps skyrocket to air cooler temps. The problem lies in the design of the cooling bracket. It does not utilize some of the screw holes in the PCB. And the cooler screws into the bracket, not the card. So yeah... Don't let them fool you. They'll say that you installed it wrong.... Pretty much the bracket isn't attached to the card enough in the middle, and the cooler screws on to the bracket - not on to the card - pushing up on the card.. in the middle... yeah..
  8. Yeah... Just ask Jensen to design a custom 128bit or 256bit GTX 1060, and you're good to go. Shouldn't be too hard. Might cost you a million dollars or so.. Nothing too fancy..
  9. I haven't had any problems with MSI's customer service. I even RMA'd a used 280x and got back a 390x a while ago. No questions asked. But then again. Every single MSI card I've had has died somehow... Except my old GTX 970. I sold it. (Edit) And I sold the 390x, too.
  10. So... you have... an Intake in the front and an intake in the back...?? No exhaust? Nobody else notice this..??
  11. Had the same thing happen to my old MSI 7970 and R9 280x. I replaced the fans on the 7970, and it worked perfectly after that, then the whole card died completely a couple months later. For the 280x, I put it under some watercooling instead of replacing the fans. It worked for about 2 weeks, then died. From my experience. If the fans have been pushed so hard to where the bearings are drying up/freezing up, then chances are the card itself has been pushed hard, and will soon kick the dust.
  12. Dude. EVGA B-stock page has a GTX 970 SC+ ACX for $249.99. I say that's a steal. You better hurry! http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-2977-RX
  13. I could have gone above 1450mhz IF i chose to add more voltage. I don't like the idea of adding more voltage to my components, though. Like my 980ti. I can break 1500mhz with a little extra voltage, BUT I don't want to. It's at it's stock boost clock of 1215mhz. My 4790k can break 5ghz at 1.36v, BUT I don't want to. It's now at it's stock turbo boost of 4.4ghz @1.10v. I'm strangely going through this phase where I like having my stuff run cooler by undervolting them at stock speeds. So, I stand by my opinion. LE cards can be just as good.
