I need to buy the motherboard like in a couple of days because i have an oem copy of windows 8 and want to get windows 10 for free
-
I just really want to spend as little money as possible. But it seens as i will be needing to buy an aftermarket cooler for the 4690k after all
-
Okay so +$64 on the 4690k if i would choose it.
-
If i buy a 4690k config +ssd but no aftermarket cooler it will be $487. If i buy a 6600k config +ssd with an noctua NH-U9s cooler it will be $627

I live in sweden I don't really know but things in Sweden are pretty expenisve. If i'm going with 4690k i will probably buy a msi z97s sli krait edition, not sure what i would buy for the 6600k

Would it really make much difference in gaming?

Hey i'm thinking about upgrading my pc. It's between the i5-4690k and the i5-6600k (Right now i have an Fx-6300). I am also upgrading my gpu and will probably buy the gtx 1060. I will mostly do gaming but i'm worried that i'm gonna have to buy a new motherboard and cpu in like 2 years if i pick the 4690k. Also i have never done any overclocking and probably won't for at least a few months because i can't afford a good cooler. What do you guys think is the 6600k worth it?
-
I wanna upgrade my pc but I'm not sure if I should go amd or nvidia. Right now I have an R9 270x and I'm a little bit curious about trying out an nvidia card. It would also be cheaper to get the 970 because I really want the new Metal Gear Solid game that comes free with the nvidia card. I don't want to buy a new gpu for a couple of years and the R9 390 seems more "future proof" with 8gb vram. I also heard something about amd having better DX12 performance but I have not really researched about that.

Is there any difference between z97 and z97s? -
I'm upgrading my pc and will get the i5-4690k. The problem is that I don't know what motherboard I should buy. I want my cpu and motherboard to last for atleast 3 years. I have never overclocked but maybe I should try it with the 4690k if I want a little more performance later on. I thought about buying the MSI Z97 GAMING 5 but it's a kinda expensive board for me. Is it worth it or can you recommend a cheaper motherboard? Btw I will also get a msi GTX 970.

I'm just upgrading my cpu, gpu and motherboard. I heard you're only allowed to have an oem verison on one system and was wondering if my windows 8 oem is locked to the motherboard.
