  1. Recently my computer has been acting funny ( say recently since December actually) I have an M.2 Drive, 2 HDDS and an SSD plugged into my PC. Before December it was working great. After that my hard drives went missing from the bios and from windows. A messed around with the insides for a while and they showed back up and all was good again. Then 2 nights ago my PC essentially refused to shut down. I powered down and 5 mins later the fans were still going, the RGB was still lit and the hard drives still spinning. At this point I just powered down from the wall. The next day the hard drives were gone. After so long I ended up swapping out the sata cables and boom it worked. HOWEVER After having to do the same thing last night I have awoke to my PC only finding both the M.2 and the SSD. Anyone know what the issue may be?
  2. I got myself a nice new M.2 SSD the other day there. Look a bit like this. My motherboard is the MSI z97 Gaming 5 and when I booted up after plugging in the M.2 i was met with a screen after my splash screen that read &réNTFS. Any ideas on this?
  3. To be fair a 4790K is basically a rebadged 4770k but with less issues and a little bit extra tacked on to make it more appealing.
  4. I never seen the benefits of doing Xfire - Spend an extra £200 for an extra 20FPS? I think Xfire is more aesthetics than practicality - hell some games won't even support Xfire or actually perform worse
  5. Oh no my PC runs it fine The reason I went from my 290x to my 390x was because games required 280s at the time and I didn't wanna be on the baseline for some games - I like to have some wiggle room so I know I am safe (for lack of a better term) for a few years
  6. I am very much against nVidia and the planned redundancy that they sport - Plus I like not having to turn the radiator in my room on I doubt I would need to upgrade my PSU (Corsair RM 850) to 2X 390x cards
  7. Tis and i will not lie but soon games will ask for the i7 4xxx See Fallout 4
  8. So I currently have an i7 4790k to which everyone says - Top Dog mate. But with games asking for i7 3XXX i see a logical reason to upgrade CPU. I Stream alot and play many AAA games at 144hz but I have no idea where to upgrade to. I thought about the new i7 6700k but I was told "You wont notice the difference man" and I know if I leave this current platform I need to buy new RAM and Motherboard. My current set-up is 144HZ Monitor (want to get those high framerates) R9 390x 16GB Corsair vengeance i7 4790K Any ideas guys. Im selling my CPU to a friend for £200 so that should save me some money.
  9. So what I am looking for is oddly specific but I am willing to loose the FreeSync if it means saving a fair bit of money. For about 6 years I have used this old ass grimey Acer monitor (acer H23HQ ambid I believe). This thing is so old it has a sicker on it saying its compatible with windows VISTA.For some games it even has 2-5 faint but often notable Purple lines running top to bottom (on some games - other times its just lighter than the current screen brightness). This screen is so old that The Flintstones was classed as the weekly news when this thing was relevent. Anyway enough bashing this old boot. It's served me well but I have a 390x and i7 4790k. This thing is running 1080p 60hz. I play alot of CSGO and other more competitive games and some higher demanding games. My brother recently got a 144hz monitor but it is nVidia 3D optimized. Sucks for him hes got a 290x but the reason I ask for such specifics is I have a small room and sit about half a meter away from my screen (maybe a little more). I run 2 monitors right now (1 is actually my TV but I use it for 3D Blu-Rays and watching TV or putting other windows on like facebook). Any suggestions for good monitors at the £100-£150 mark (about $200-$225)?
  10. Sorry about that. Windows 7 Fresh. Though the windows 7 copy on the SSD i gave him used 20gb - I dont even think the Win 7 I had on my PC used 20GB. He also gets asked if he wants to boot fron Windows 7 or Windows 7 like he is dual booting. His PC has a brand hew Seagate Barraduca and SanDisk 64GB SSD Boot Drive. So imagine my surprise. Ima post a list of parts and part ages for a better Comprehension.
  11. Its a Corsair CX500M Every PC ive built in the past 2 years has used a Corsair PSU and each has been fine
  12. I am currently doing a repair as I speak I dont think it could be the PSU - Its less than a year old
  13. OK so this 1 is just mind boggeling. I had to rebuild my dads computer a few days ago. He kept running into the error 0xc000000f and NOTHING would fix it. We ran mem test and all other things and since his motherboard was broke we figured "Has to be that". I got him a new motherboard, CPU and Hard Disk. I built it up about 24 hours ago. He has that error again. Any help would be appreciated EDIT Parts and ages Intel Core i5 4670k 1.5 Year (Given to him straight from my PC with no issues) Gigabyte B85m-D3H - Brand New 12GB (3x4) Crucial Ballistix - 2 Years (Part of a 4x Kit but we lost a stick) SanDisk 64gb SSD - 1 Year Corsair CX500M - 1 year Seagate Barracuda 1TB - Brand New AMD Sapphire HD7500 1GB - 2 Years (Fitted in 3 different PCs over that span and no errors)
  14. Im gonna be honest with you on this 1. I'm tired of getting all the drivers and extracting every zip file onto a USB and deleting them afterwards. I don't reformat my PC a whole lot but I work on every PC in my house as well as my relatives computers. Was wanting to know if the process could be automated in any way. Scripted events and what not. I suppose its another topic for another forum however. Thanks for your insight though man Appreciate it.
