  1. I am currently having trouble with Windows 10, and a lot of the helpers suggested that I do a fresh install of Windows 10. What do they mean by that? EDIT: Do I a reset via Windows Settings? or should I do the "Media Creation Tool" method.
  2. Using one of these: https://i.imgur.com/HS7oXTW.jpg https://i.imgur.com/sum5w6I.jpg One end has a 8-pin connector that labeled to the PSU, and the other end is two 8-pin connectors that suppose to connect to the PCI-E graphic card.
  3. Just a little update: I have been playing games lately (except Black Ops 3) and it seems to work fine, until I maxed out everything in Guild Wars 2, and that is when it seems to crash.
  4. I am currently having a pretty urgent issue. Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10, I have been having issues where my computer crashes (restarts without any messages) when certain games finish loading. This issue happens to games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (crashes before main menu screens appear), Trackmania Stadium (crashes when loading map is finished) and 3D Mark (crashes during the Combined Test in Sky Driver benchmark.) The reason why I emphasized certain games is because I have played Grand Theft Auto V and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for several hours and have never crashed my computer. I have uninstalled ALL my nvidia drivers, used Driver Sweeper to make sure there is no driver residue, and then reinstalled the latest version of the drivers, and it still crashed my computer when loading 3DMark (during Combined Test in Sky Driver). I have done my research and some people say that it could be a PSU problem. I do not know how much my PSU is taking, but you can check my build here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/x3TmRB According to PCPartPicker, I am using less than 500 W, and my PSU can take up to 620 W. What do you think? Could it be a Windows 10 problem, because this problem started when I upgraded to Windows 10 (I even refreshed my PC after upgrading from 8.1 to 10). Should factory reset? I don't know what could possibly be the problem. EDIT: Just did a benchmark of Tomb Raider, and it didn't crash. EDIT 2: I just refreshed my PC, and tried the 3D Mark benchmark, and when the Combined test came, it crashed my PC.
  5. Yeah. Unfortunately it is a pretty short game, especially since it has a lack of "replay value."
  6. Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is a platform, adventure game, developed by Starbreeze Studios, and published by 505 Games. Story The game is about these two brothers who are on an adventure to search for a particular medicine that would help heal their sick father. The younger brother has a fear of water, and has nightmares about the drowning of his mother, in which he witnessed. Throughout the adventure, you get a feel of middle-earth, as you encounter a friendly orge that helps you find go through obstacles, and get to walk through a valley filled with dead giants. The game does not feature a single dialogue. It realize a lot of the story behind these brothers, side-characters, and such. I find the story to be quite emotional. Without giving spoilers, the opening scene is quite sad. You get to see the younger brother, desperately trying to save his mother from drowning, but failed, and have to see his mother sink to the bottom of the ocean. You can tell throughout the story that he is quite terrified of water. Every once a while, he dreams about his mother being there, only to find out there she wasn't. Besides the emotional side of the younger brother, he is quite what you expect from a young boy. Likes to joke around with people. The older brother does miss his mother, but does not bear the memories his younger brother gets. The older brother is more courageous and strong, motivating his younger brother to keep on going. Gameplay The gameplay is quite unique, compared to the many platform games I have played. It is required to play with a controller, because you need two joysticks. Each joystick move a character: younger or older brother. You also need to use the two triggers in the standard controller. Each trigger allows each character to interact with the environment: animals, platforms, obstacles, people, etc. The game requires you to multi-task and control two characters at once. It may sound easy, but it is not. You soon begin to forget which character you are controlling. What I love about this game is just the smaller things, like interacting with people and animals. I know it sounds corny, but it gives more life to the game and to the experience. Whether it is playing basketball with a kid, or petting an animal. Stuff like this really enhances the experience. Level Design/Graphics Just like any platform game, the levels get harder and harder as you progress. What I mean by harder is that it requires you to use more mental skills to control two characters. TRUST ME, IT'S HARD TO CONTROL THEM AT ONCE. The game looks acceptably nice, as it is not a AAA title game. The character design is not as great, but the real gem is more in the environment. It is always nice to see the scenery while the sun glazing down through the trees. PC Port The port for the PC is pretty reasonable. I do not know if the game caps at 60 FPS, but I've been getting constant 60 FPS throughout the game. I have a GTX 770 and play the game on high settings. You are not able to play the game with keyboard/mouse unfortunately. Replay Value There is not much replay value in the game. You can earn achievements but that is about it. Others The music in this game gives me goose-bumps, especially during the emotional parts. Overall I highly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of platformers. It is not often you get a platform game that has a pretty good story and environment.
  7. I play GTA V with a controller, mostly because driving with keyboard and mouse is a pain.
  8. A Story about My Uncle is an adventure first-person platform game developed by Gone North Games, and published by Coffee Stain Studio. Story The story is about a boy who was looking for his uncle, but ended up finding a world he did not knew exist. Source Personally, I thought the story was okay. I feel like it was more about his uncle and the world that your character was exploring. Madeline, a frog-like creature in the village you visit in the game, goes a long with you on the adventure to search for your uncle. She likes to explore outside of the village, but the "elders" of the village does not want anyone to exit from the village because of what is out there inside the chasm. As the player, you sort of get to really know Madeline. She knows a lot about the frog people who have left the village to seek out new life (The Strays), and she knows the language of the Strays. It is hard to explain the story of the game without spoiling some plot points. Throughout the game, there are interactive objects that will expand on the story of the game, either with back-story about the connection between your character and his uncle, or the creation of the world, and the frog people. Gameplay A Story about My Uncle is a platform game, meaning you are going to be jumping on platforms. In the beginning of the game, you have a suit that your uncle have designed for you. This suit allows you to run fast, jump high, and even land hard. You can also use energy-like grapples, but only when you have at least one crystal. The crystals in the game is a source of energy. People in the village look at these crystals as a sacred item, and should not be used. However, the Strays believe that the crystals should be use as a source of energy (which is why they left the village). Anyway, with your suit and its abilities, you have to conquer many obstacles, like grappling on moving objects, or run-boost and then grapple to get to the other side. Some obstacle have challenges, like in one part of the game, Maddie challenges you to not use your grappling device. I understand that this is a challenge, but I do not understand why would anyone would challenge me to do that, when we're are literally floating on floating rocks from thousands of feet above ground. To be honest, I don't know how far we are from ground, because you can't see it. I understand that the suit was made to prevent damage from hard landing, but still. I don't know, maybe if they would of present the challenge differently, it would of been okay. Level Design When it comes to platform games, level design is very important, and I feel the game did pretty well on the leveling design. As the game progresses, the levels get harder and harder. There is a part in the game where it took me several tries to pass. The later levels get to the point where accuracy is the key to succeeding, so I recommend playing this game with a keyboard/mouse. Later levels also makes the player react to situation quickly, like grappling to an object that you can see for a second or two. Overall, the level design was not too inspiring, but it was good enough to be suitable for a platform game. Art/Graphics I saw a comment about this game saying that the game should utilize virtual reality, and which I agree. The environment of the game looks gorgeous, especially from a small developer (Gone North Games). I can imagine the experience for this game would be much greater with the Oculus Rift (or whatever VR headset). The game presents itself to be a huge environment. It is a good feeling when you are soaring to the air. However for the character design, they could of improve more. Some of the characters, including your character's uncle, looks outright creepy. If you are talking to a character, but leaves the area, the character will still act like you did not move at all, and it will look like he/she is talking to nobody. Pretty funny. Voice Acting I was not a fan of the voice acting in the game, especially the main character, or narrator. It seems like most of the stuff he says feels forced. Replay Value There is time trials for the game, where you can see how long it takes to beat a certain level, and then try beating that time, and so on. There is also unlockables in the game, in which if you find certain amounts of them, you can unlock new abilities, like Midas Touch, or Goat Tongue. There are also achievements in the game. Optimization I feel like the game is pretty optimized. I get about 60 FPS. Don't know if it's locked FPS or not. The game feels smooth and have not experienced major bugs/glitches. Also, they don't have fullscreen borderless.... Overall The game is a pretty decent platformer, especially for the price of 15 dollars in Steam. The story wasn't memorable by any means. In fact, it is pretty forgettable. But it is fun to explore the world, and have fun with the suit's ability. Definitely check it out! Get the game here. Let me know if you see grammar errors. My grammar isn't too good.
  9. I enjoyed the Black Ops 3 Beta, despite the FPS spikes I was receiving. I always enjoy the Call of Duty franchise, even though some of their games were crap, like Ghosts.
  10. Mostly talking to the PC Gaming community. I was wondering what do you most prefer when playing PC games: Mouse/Keyboard or Controller? I mostly use controller because everytime I play with my keyboard and mouse, I usually get cramps on my fingers from pressing the keys on the keyboard. Maybe I need a better quality keyboard/mouse. I like using the controller because it just feels comfortable. But I always use keyboard and mouse for games like CS:GO or any FPS game, where accuracy is key. Want do you use? Also, tell me what kind of keyboard/mouse, or controller you use to game? I have the Coolermaster Devastator KB/M combo, and the standard Microsoft Xbox 360 controller.
  11. Yes, another GTA V problem. So, I have been trying to grind GTA V, but I can't because..... my CPU Usage tends to be very high, like 2 cores (out of the four) being up to 100% in usage. While my GPU goes around 50-60% usage during this. On average, my CPU cores goes up to 95% usage each. Is this normal? My specs meet the recommended specs for gta v CPU: Intel i5 4690K @ 3.5ghz GPU: GTX 770 2GB RAM: 8GB 1600mhz If it's not normal, is there anything I could try to help this?
  12. Previous version of Cubase looked bad imo. However, Cubase 8 looks really modern.
  13. and that crashes? Try verifying your game cache, updating your drivers, reinstalling skyrim?
  14. I personally use FL Studio. I like FL Studio because of their piano roll. Probably the best piano roll out of all the digital-audio workstation. There's Ableton, which has really good stock plugins. Logic, if you're a mac user. Cubase, if you're old fashion. EDIT: Cubase 8 looks good though.
