Fractal Design Define R4 Build

So this is my second build with the R4. This one is going to officially be my backup/second computer. It has some parts from a previous rig, plus a couple of new things I bought. So the specs are:

i7 4770k
MSI GD-65 Z87
XFX 7950 Double Dissipation
16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum
Corsair CX750
250GB Samsung 840 Evo
1TB WD Black
Some TP-Link Wifi Card
Stock Cooler (bleh... will be changed eventually)
and of course a Fractal Design Define R4

So I wanted to make it a really clean, and simple build. This is about the best/cleanest cable management that I have ever done. Really no big modifications were done to the case. Only thing I did was remove the middle drive bays, and the things that hold it in place. I wrapped the CD drive bay, and the other hard drive bay with carbon fiber. Next time I do a CD drive bay wrap, I'm going to make sure that there isn't a concave dent in it from the design of the bay. I am really happy the way it came out. I like the big blank spot where the hard drive bay use to be, and the look of the carbon fiber wrap. If I were to change anything, it would probably be getting a real cooler, and sleeving the cables. But really for just a backup/second computer, this is more than enough.blogentry-29658-0-73794400-1441330550_thblogentry-29658-0-56931300-1441330552_thblogentry-29658-0-89417200-1441330553_thblogentry-29658-0-42312200-1441330555_thblogentry-29658-0-75025900-1441330556_thblogentry-29658-0-64967000-1441330558_thblogentry-29658-0-65236400-1441330560_th

Hows the noise?

I'm planing on building a very quiet PC want to leave it running overnight). I think the Define R5 would be a nice case for that. Hows your experience with the R4?

I love the Define Cases. I have been using them for my personal rigs the past 4 years. I had the R3, several R4s, and recently the R5. I love them all. The R4 is great for a quiet computer. My only thing about leaving them running overnight is that the led on the top can be very bright. I personally sleep in the same room as my computer, and I have found that the light (flashing in standby) can turn my room into a disco room. Lol. But that is really my only complaint about the R4. Very solid case, and would definitely recommend. The R5 basically has all the good from the R4 and more from my experience. I have also found it to run a bit quieter (might be my brain playing tricks on me). And they also seemed to dim down the LED on the top also, so not as ,much of a complaint anymore. Both cases are great, and I would just say get which ever one you can get a deal on.
