Hi, I am no Linus, but I researched that cpu, and you definitely want to find something different. That cpu is basically a server processor. To game and edit, going with

cpu with less, faster cores would be more optimal for gaming and editing. A Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W Desktop Processor

BX80648I75820K or a Intel Boxed Core I7-6700K 4.00 GHz 8M Processor Cache 4 LGA 1151 BX80662I76700K would be a good option for that considering it is way less costly and

will suit your needs. ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO LGA1151 DDR4 M.2 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 Type A Type C Intel Z170 ATX Motherboard would be a good option for the

motherboard to go along with I7-6700K considering it is the right socket size. An EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB SC GAMING, Silent Cooling Graphics Card 04G-P4-2982-KR would

work great for gaming and editing. I would double up on the 980s in SLI for a better outcome. For a power supply, a pretty beefy psu would be good such as a Corsair RM Series

1000 Watt ATX/EPS 80PLUS Gold-Certified Power Supply - CP-9020062-NA RM1000. That will give you plenty of power and redundancy, as well as future upgrading. So at least

go with that or anything higher. Hopefully I wasn't one of those people you said you didn't want. Feel free to copy those products onto Amazon to justify they are the price for you.

Hope I helped and please contact me in some way if I was indeed helpful.

why not just just upgrade to a core i7 5930k or if you still want more cores for 3d rendering and other CPU intensive tasks get i7-5960x. you can overclock it for games so in a way it's the best of both worlds. the thing with xeon processors it's purely meant for servers that maybe running virtual machines or keeping up a website or running a data center that's what xeon is for. your goal is a enthusiast cpu that can be used for both gaming and rendering. something to keep in mind xeon processors can not be overclocked the only thing can be changed is the base clock and you can't change that much without running into issues. listen to LegoManPilotGaming you do not need a xeon processor.
