Building on a LGA 775 Core 2 Quad

Hello...

 

So there's a friend of mine right, he'll be giving me some old parts to me and one of those parts happends to be a Core 2 Quad,

 

and the rest are just some random PSU with a Asus mobo and a case. I wanted to get some ideas of what could i buy (Budget oriented)

 

to make this "rusty parts" come to life.

 

 

Let me know what you think our just drop some ideas.

Well the first question that I would ask is What do you want to do with it or what is the primary function of this unit. That should dictate the other components.

Backup gaming rig!

 

Cheap P35 / P45 motherboard, used GPU, 2 - 4GB RAM and a quality (but low cost) ~400w PSU. :)

if you look at my profile I basically have a Core 2 quad as you can see what motherboard you could use for it if also you're willing to overclock processor I was able to overclock my q9550 at 3.4 gigahertz with a water cooler
