Chapter One: Summer

"Bzzt" went the alarm, and Kai Hoskins opens his eyes, allowing the breeze of the long summer to rift over his body. Kai is a socially awkward high school teenager, a third-year high school student in Winterville High School, ironic as it sounds the region of Wintros has one of the longest summers in Titan Earth. Kai went through his old normal routine: wake up, shower, cook.. Kai lives alone in Wintros, holding up in his apartment, working part time in a Convenient Store not far from his apartment.

Looking out the bus on his way to work, he saw a region that was full of summer of every kind. There were streams, sweeping rivers, markets, and breezing trees over the horizon. For a long time Wintros hasn't been warm enough to melt the rivers and streams, people used to wear mouth-covering scarves, long trench jackets, and thick leather boots. But this season everyone is wearing thin shirts, short pants, and sandals. "Why do I have to work all summer, why can't I play with my friends. Right... I have none" Kai thought to himself, the Bus stops and a strange girl, clad in winter clothing, showed up with a hood and a scarf covering her long face except for her long blonde hair pouring out the front of the hood, knowing that the bus is empty and vast with seats, she sat next to Kai. Kai, being socially awkward he is, is nervous. The strange girl looked at Kai, then not soon she gets off the bus at the next stop, which is where Kai stops to work. The girl disappeared into an alley. Kai normally just shrugs it off.

"Thank you for coming, please come again!" shouts Dave. Arriving at the Store where he works Kai raises his hand as if he was saying Hi. "You know, saying Hi once in awhile wouldn't hurt you, Kai."

"I just don't feel like talking today," Kai replied with a low volume voice, while Dave shakes his head. Kai works as a fryer in the Convenient Store. As time pass Kai served his shift at the store and was getting ready to come home. Walking out of the store onto a cold evening Kai noticed a shadow in the corner of his eye, he felt chills even though its summer, the night felt so cold. Awfully cold. Kai walked to the bus stop faster than usual, and waited for the bus. It was really early into the evening so no businessmen were at the bus nor businesswoman, not even a single person, except for the bus driver. So it was that evening that everything turned upside down for Kai Hoskins.

Bus 30F, Route Feyron Road, 5 more stops until the bus returns to its Garage. It's the evening, the sun is setting and the sky dimming. As the lights inside the bus turns on, 2 stops before Kai's home, The Winter-clothed girl rode on the stop. The bus was silent, only Kai, the driver, and an Old Lady in the back. "Oh my god what does she want?!" Kai thought. In Titan Earth, since the unity of 2036 Multi-power summit, Multiple races joined to one continent and the whole Earth renamed and reshaped. In particular, The Strange Girl opened her hood and has a Eurasian look, it was nothing like Kai ever saw. She sat next to Kai, her blue eyes sparkling in the evening sun, golden brown blondish hair tied to a pony tail, but Kai notices a distinct stench... Gunpowder. Kai from his calm and love struck mood was reduced to that of terror. "Gunpowder?! But it couldn't be right? I mean she's a girl, This distinct scent... Its unusual." as Kai looked down with a terrified face, the strange girl glanced at him with a serious face. "Hi" She said to Kai, trying to talk Kai was startled "Oh... Hi.. Are you talking to me?" Kai said stuttering "Of course silly, were to only ones here aren't we?" but that soon to be gone. The bus stops at Kai's place, he immediately pushed the Strange Girl aside trying to get out of the window seat, he walks faster, glanced back, the Strange Girl puts her hood back on and follows Kai, But stops as soon as Kai shuts the gate leading to his Apartments Courtyard behind him.

SMASH! went the window, Kai, surprised woke up to his slider door facing the kitchen that was leading to his balcony all smashed up "Gah! That slider door is expensive you know! Damn it must be those kids who's playing soccer in the field again!" Kai said whilst stomping the ground in anger, looking out the balcony, The Strange Girl sitting on a big oak tree that seems old. Gasped, Kai fell down and cut his fingers while trying to hold his fall to the glass-spread concrete balcony "Y-You...!" "Yes, me, silly" as she giggles and opened her hood "You're hurt!, here let me come over there and heal you" as she jumped over the gap between the balcony and the old oak tree, Kai is shocked at this point and he, with no hesitation, jumped back to his feet and ran inside only to be tripped on his tatami mat and knocking his head with the rested table leaning against the wall. "Heey... heeey!" she said to passed-out Kai while poking his cheek, Kai woke up startled and accidentally hits the Girl's head "Ow!" Kai said as he rubbed his forehead

"Agh what happened... Huh? why is my hand bandaged all the sudden?"

"Silly you, I bandaged it while you're passed out"

"Ah! Its Y-You! Who are you..?"

"Hi, I believe I haven't introduced myself properly to you. Umm, let's see where to start... -Ah yes, Hi, My name is Ceara Haim, Daughter of the 8th Calamity God, Keru of Zaetriel."

"Slow down, What? Ceara? Calamity God? Zaetriel? I just woke up with my hand bandaged, a strange girl in my bedroom, and a migraine! Hold on, I need some tea"

"Wouldn't go there if I were you~"

"Why? OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!" Said Kai terrified with the broken sliding door glass

"Yeah, uh.. you did that to yourself. Well by me, but you broke the glass..."

Kai sighs, Then proceeded to get the broom from his closet, Swept the floor, and continues making his tea. While carrying the tea in one hand, Kai puts down his table on top of his bed mat, puts his tea on it and sits down. "Wow, ok can we start over? I'm Kai, nice to meet you Ceara, How did you get into my house?" "Well Kai, my father, Keru, tells me to find you. Of what Frei knows what he'll do to you, I don't know. And then I had all sorts of trouble finding you, first I went to the market! then to this big place called a Mall then, when started to give up, I went aboard this strange contraption called...something. Then I found you! but I have to confirm its really you." She replied hastily, still isn't the answer Kai looking for, Ceara stood up "It's better if you come see this" she said with a serious face, Kai, confused then also stood up with his tea. Kai's apartment room darkens, a glowing circle with full of glyphs and runes that Kai did not understood, Kai was in awe and speechless, and drops his tea resulting in a spill, The magic circle grew bigger which then grew a smaller circle under Kai, a line connecting the big magic circle to the one under Kai is glowing. A bright light emitted from the center of the circles.

Chapter Two: The Magical world of Zaetriel

Iridescent Moonlight fell upon a sturdy sailing ship, creaking masts, and stretching sails. Kai awakes on a hammock just under the deck, under him, his shipmate. "Have you ever thought that there is a place where paradise never ends? Well, Zaetriel is the place you want to be, or is it?" said a hooded old man in the corner, red eyes glowing, no human has eyes like that. Kai got down the Hammock. In the midst of the night, outside the ship's window, it was not sea, but clouds.

"Hey you old man, who are you, why am I here?" asked Kai

"I am but a mere shadow of your past, a figment of your imagination, -an illusion."

"Then tell me, o old man. Who are you and where am I?"

"You are in the Gurul Vis, not the ground but the sky. Below is Gurul Vis. And to answer your second question is that I am nameless, but people call me Onyx."

"People? So you are real"

"You may call me real, not real, doesnt matter. What matter is that i need to get you out of this ship. This ship is called the Annevara, the Pirates of the Sky, Most infamous for their Slavery. How did you end up here? I dont know. But My Lord needs you alive." Onyx said, emerging from the dark corner.

Onyx pulled Kai's hand "WAIT! I NEE-" everything was quiet. Seems like the crew of the Annevara is asleep. Not long they ran up the stairs, but everything was like a battlefield. Flintlocks shooting, and swords clashing in. "We must jump!" screamed Onyx, as the battlefield was loud as Cannons firing next to each other. Looking down, it was the desert, roughly estimated 50 stories up high from it, Kai trembles. "Im not gonna jump!" "You have to! Trust me." Onyx jumped, pulling Kai's hand, they both fell from 50 stories high altitude. An odd Jet picked them up, the jet was shaped like a raft, made of metal and with twin engines on the back
