You know you will have black bars on the side when you are playing games right.This monitor is more for watching movies.I think that any 22 , 24 , 27 inch 16:9 IPS 1920x1080 p (or 2560x1440p if you can affored it ) monitor will be better than this one :)

Most games have support for screens bigger then 16:9 IPS. You shouldn't have to worry about the black bars on the side when you are gaming.
