I have the same video card a worse cpu i7-3770 and only 8gb of RAM and I play all the games with more than 60fps in 1080p (without assassin's creed Unity ofcource :D )

I reckon that you would be more than set 4 1080p gaming with those specs. But some people say they've had problems with the 970. Donno if this is true.

looks like a bitt of overkill for 1080p but follow Will's tip with a 4790k you save a bit of money!

I would say that it is a lot cheaper and without losing much performance to go for a i5 4790k

it must be the i5 4690k you were talking about haha

I'm not sure about the power requirements for the 970 and 4790K but a 500 watt power supply doesn't seem like enough to me. I would suggest 700 watt, but perhaps I am wrong. I personally have a 4770K with a 290X and know it can run on a 750watt power supply. I do know that the 970 is MUCH more power efficient but don't know if 500 watt is enough.

Awesome specs though, that will go beast mode on any 1080P games ;)
