My Testing Equipment:

While I'm not a professional technician I do have an assortment of tools for testing and what not. A lot of them are probably bad for this and that reason but I've had no trouble with them. So here's a list of the things that I have in my repair bag;

An old laptop, Dell Inspiron 1501, running ether Ubuntu or Windows 10 depending on what mood I'm in.

A thirmaltake PSU tester. Basic yes but very functional.

A post card for PCI that works on some motherboards, the manual lists BIOS that it's compatible with but UEFI confuses it for some reason.

Assorted USB3 drives. Red Tape has a windows10 install image but would usually be windows7, looking at getting more than one on at a time. If I figure out how then I will write up an entry on it. The red USB with no tape is my software USB. Everything from drivers to office2013. Finally the blue USB, smallest at 16GB this is my UBCD drive. UBCD being a great image for recovery, testing and repair. I use it for just about everything. It even comes with a virus scanner. USB2 Wi-Fi adapter with drivers on the Red USB. Useful when someone W-Fi stops working, this will determin weather it's the WAP or device. I've used this a lot with friends, friends of friends and family laptops.

Colored pens and a tape, just because these are handy when I have to measure cases and desks.
