Hi guys I'm sure you've seen this a lot already but I was looking to get some insight on whether or not I should buy an Intel i7 4790k or AMD FX 8370. Here's what I do, I am a film student as well as an editor for a company, I like to game with my friends, and being a college student we have lots of work so these are my big 3 things I will be doing with my PC. I currently have everything I will need besides my mobo and processor (of course). Many thanks to all for the feedback and help! Hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday season! :D

Just go for the i7 if you have the budget since its better in pretty much everything. If you don't have the money, buying the AMD one won't be a bad choice but keep in mind the power consumption is higher. Other thing to consider is that the i7 includes a GPU while the FX 8370 doesn't. That can come in pretty handy if your GPU decides to stop working; plus, believe it or not, the already mentioned GPU (intel HD 4600) will even let you play current games (it's more powerful than my current laptop GPU). I had planned to buy the i7 4790K too.
