Hello everyone, I need some help about building my new custom pc. I am not a pro about building computer but I learned somethings from my brother. I builded up a pc (check the pcpartpicker link )but i am not sure that it is good for video programing(rendering) and gaming. I have made some researches like 'how kinda ram that i have to buy' meaning dual channel (2x8) 16GB 1866mHz or single channel (4x4) 16GB1866mHz and i finally choosed kingston fury...

So here is my pcpartpicker link; http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hMkkbv check it out and give me some advice

I need your support and decisions about what to do, my budget: $950 - $1250

I think the 4790k might be better for rendering..but then again in xinfernus' build with a GTX 970, there probably won't be an insane difference in gaming with the 4690k or the 4790k.

Edit: Just take note of xinfernus' edit because if you decide to go with a gtx 970 it may not fit in your case

Actually that's a good choice :)

But if your not on budget I prefer to take your processor to i7's and for the motherboard anything that supports higher Ram GB'S and more Ram Slots, cause that can help you if your working for a video editing rig.

Get the Cheapest RAM you can find and you need only 8 GB :D , even for amature video editor , add the extra 100$ you saved on the RAM and upgrade to a GTX 970 ;)

With your budget you should save on RAM, 1866MHz is clear overkill here, you won't see much difference as opposed to say  a 8gb 1333MHz kit. It will make a slight difference, but it's really slight. For a video card you should probably go with a GTX700series for Nvidia or  if u want AMD - an R9 270 or 280 might be a nice choice.
A 4790k processor is a complete overkill in your setup.... I have it and really - i've had a minecraft server up, fraps on and a game just hanging in the background while playing watch dogs and it doesn't even feel it, so I'd recommend something quite a bit lower than a 4790k for sure. Motherboard should obviously fit the cpu's that u pick socket - so that depends on the cpu u decide. Make sure it at least has dual channel ram.... which is pretty much on all mobo's at the moment. Power supply - a 500W is more than enough for a ~$1000 computer... (even though 700series GTX cards will recommend about 600W on the system, you'll only ever use ~300-400W if not less with the parts I mentioned)

also DO NOT buy a closed loop liquid cooling or any sort of liquid cooling for that matter in your situation. it's a pure waste of money -  stock fans will do more than a perfect job at roughly 60% of their RPM with your setup, unless of course you're doing some extreme overclocking, but my 4790k is on stock fan overclocked by the default BIOS settings, so nothing too excessive, but it doesn't go above 35C when idle and roughly 70C on relatively heavy load.

If you're doing video editing by the way you might want a better screen, somewhere around $400 price point. such as this - www.asus.com/ca-en/Commercial_Monitors_Projectors/PB278Q/ . You can save a $100 on your cpu easily and put it to the screen, would be far more worth it I think.

Thanks for your advice and help. I've changed my budget up a little bit and i finished up with this build. Please Check this one out and comment a little bit more.
