Gallup Internship: Day 2

Hello forum,

This is my second entry into this blog about my experiences at Gallup.

What happened: Day 2, we continued to practice general coding. We also learning about creating our own blocks in scratch. This would be equivalent to defining one's own block of code in Java. We integrated lists and variables into the project we did. We also learned about encryption and the Cesar cipher. We did a project that encrypted a word by shifting its letter 3 letters down in the alphabet. At the end we talked about the ESF(Entrepreneurial Strengths finder) again.

Thoughts: I thought the general practice was good. I felt as if the blocks could have been explained better. I found it confusing how our instructor described them. The encryption was fun and challenging. I have done a bit of networking in the past and that was a part of it. The talk at the end about the strengths finder was a little bit interesting. It was some what repetitive considering it was all on the report we got. For the people who didn't understand their report I would see the benefit. If he were to elaborate more on the relationship itself instead of just repeating what was on the report, I would have liked that a great deal better. Overall, it was a solid day.
