Hello there! This is a blog of my future build, happening somewhere in about 2 to 6 months. I haven't bought any parts yet, but I will buy them separately and rather fast.

I haven't set a budget to this build, so time will tell how much money is going to this build :D

I will update this blog as I progress on the build.

Any suggestions, comments, and feedback are welcome.

I'm blogging for the first time and building for a second time.

Last few months of my life i've been dreaming about a new PC. I finally got a job too so i can really afford my dreambuild to be built.

I've been watching hundreds of PC-component related videos on youtube and that way deciding, what parts am I going to use in my build.

I will use this build mainly for gaming, and maybe some movie editing.

A few parts that I have decided to stick with:

CPU

This really wasn't so hard to decide. I wanted to get an Intel processor that is affordable and great in performance.

The Intel i7 4790K washed all the other opponents on my list so that was the first part that really convinced me to even start dreaming of this build.

From here on I started to choose a motherboard, limited to the LGA1150 socket ofc.

Motherboard

This one was harder to choose than the CPU. My friend recommended Gigabyte motherboards, but I really didn't get too excited from them.

From here on I really started to watch some LinusTechTips videos on youtube. I stumbled upon the Asus ROG Maximus VI Formula and really got interested of that one.

I thought that I could just settle with that but later on I got pretty sad when I learned about the Z97 motherboards. I know there isn't a groundbreaking difference, but I wanted to do a build that would be easily upgradeable. Some time went by and whaddaya know, Asus released the Asus ROG Maximus VII Formula Z97. And I was pretty much sold again :D

GPU

As I watched and watched some PCbuild videos on youtube, I just could not pass on the watercooling videos. From those I really really got into PC building.

I am 99% sure that later on I will watercool my pc. (Atleast the GPU(s) and the CPU) I wanted a really good graphics card, so I watched some more LTT videos,

and saw the GTX780 Titan. Wow. I just wanted to buy a million of those. And not long from that I learned that it was rather easy to watercool the Titan.

But that excitement passed on rather soon when i found the Asus ROG GTX780 Poseidon. Wow. Just wow. The water-aircooling hybrid GPU just blew my mind.

I knew that i wasn't going to watercool my build right away so this was just the right GPU for me. It will be very easy to change to watercooling later on with this GPU.

Case

I really wasn't going to make a "color theme", but what the heck, lets do it.

As I am a gamer, I like to attend LANs. Even if it were a 1 to 2 night LAN at a friends house or a bigger LAN event, like the Assembly here in Finland.

This limited my options in choosing the case. I couldn't and didn't want to buy a full tower case, as it would be rather heavy, and a pain in the a** to carry to LAN :D

A friend of mine recommended the Fractal Desing Define R4 to me, as it is a pretty good case. I thought then meh, its pretty plain tho I'm not that sure that would I stick with that one. I didn't like todays cases, their desing is just so plain. Black. Sharp corners. Woo. And then there is the NZXT monsters that have like million doors and wasted plastic. But thats my opinion. I decided to stick with the Corsair Graphite Series 780T Black Its pretty simple as it is, but it has some cool features and stuff.

As I said, I didnt want to stick to any color theme, but as I checked the parts I have chosen, they're all pretty black and red. I didn't want to be as lame as black and red on a build but here I am. :lol:

Other parts are still under consideration, so here is YOUR TIME TO SHINE!

As I said, I will update this blog as I get my parts, and I thought that I would do the whole build while updating my status to this blog!

I would do videos but I stutter english like hell so thought it would be better written :D
