More job change decisions

So here I am, coming to the realization that maybe I should not have moved back home. I am now stuck with an employer that I am disgusting even more due to politics and bureaucracy, and stuck in a town that has no employment for IT people. I recently had an interview for an IT position in another community, two hours away. That's not too bad I suppose, as it will allow me to remain close to my family and it's not in a big city. Why did I move back to a small hick town? Well, the big city was bringing me down hardcore. The anxiety from driving, job pressures, an asshole for a boss, a twit for an IT manager (list goes on)... made me want to get out. I am starting to believe that I have an anxiety issue that needs to be resolved. I am constantly irritable, when in truth I am actually a nice person. I think this anxiety has transferred itself into a few of my recent interviews, which has caused me to fumble during the interview process.

The new job wouldn't be too too bad. It would be an IT position, and the co-owners of the company were pretty laid back. Those are the kinds of employers that I like; Easy to get along with and treat their employees like human beings, not slaves.

The self employment front has failed. I have pulled the website as it is starting to eat into the credit cards, and are close to dumping all the advertising. Unfortunately YP has refused to remove my ad and continue to charge me $50 for something that won't benefit me (watch me have MasterCard rip them a new one next month). Anyhow, the interviewers said to watch till July 7th to hear back from them. Something tells me that I didn't get the job. Perhaps they did want to wait a month for me to tidy up things with the current employer, landlords, etc.

Stay tuned...

It sounds like you're hitting a rough patch in your life. Take a moment to step back and think about what matters most to you and do things that make you happy. It will probably give you much needed perspective on things and where you want to go in the future.

I hope everything works out for you.
