Do I need a Lighting Node Pro if I have an addressable RGB header?

No. You still need the controller.

Hi, I'm just finally upgrading to a platform that has RGB headers and am totally new to this stuff.

 

I'm thinking about buying a Corsair LL120 and maybe 2 LL140's.

Do I need the lightning node pro thing if I have an addressable RGB header or is that thing only for if your motherboard doesn't have that?
