2080ti worth it?

Ok, based on price, it's arguable it's even worth buying right now (probably not) but now hearing how many FE's are failing and even one guys 2080ti literally catching on fire, are these things even worth buying?

Are the 2080's as risky as the 2080ti's? I'm building a new machine, for gaming, and I would buy a 1080ti, however they are harder to find than the 2080 and in most cases even more expensive.

i am interesting to buy one 2080 ti ,

which are the positives and the negatives between these 4 cards::

astrix 2080 rtx ti

Evga Ftw3 2080 ti

msi rtx trio 2080 ti

Palit Gaming Pro OC 2080TI

Can you afford a 2080 Ti? Do you have a great display that makes sense having the worlds fastest gaming card? is your entire PC balanced to support the 2080 Ti?

If yes to all then I see no reason why not... My FE card by the way worked fine from day one to now no issues so it's not like all FE cards are bricking.

I  have  one  4790k .4.6 overclocked  16  ram ddr3  isnt good?

I'm going to upgrade my setup a bit, getting a GeForce 1080ti/2080 and I wanted to get a monitor that would utilise the increase in the FPS when I'm gaming.

I think I'm pretty set on what I need: 27'', 1440p, IPS, 144Hz refresh rate with GSync. This, however, doesn't really leave me much choice. I'm using this Dutch website to track the prices of screens and there's only a handful of monitors that seem to cover all of those points.
https://tweakers.net/categorie/344/m...nEsF02MgXTY2g8

The site is in Dutch, but I think it's pretty straightforward to use (I don't speak Dutch too well myself and have no problem navigating it). Here are the search results:
What are the opinions of those monitors? Any of those I should avoid? I'd rather not get the Asus and Acer ones, as I despise the cheap 'gaming' looks, but if they're far superior to the others, I'll bite the bullet. Any other screens that are not included here I should take a look at?

I recently read an article about the gtx 1080 ti’s starting to run out so i have swap my interests to the rtx 2080 Ti. Pls recommend me a great rtx 2080 Ti gpu thanks
also i want to tell me because i must know what to do what is the difference between 2080 Ti rtx and 1080 ti? 2080 rtx has the same performance like 1080 ti>? in games?? or 1080 ti is better from 2080 Ti rtx??

the benchmarks what they say for the 1080 ti and 2080 Ti rtx?/ do you believe that 2080Ti rtx is more futureproof from 1080 ti??
what advise you can give me ?? for these 2 cards? which to buy from these 2? 1080 ti or 2080Ti rtx?>?>
1080 ti is aroynd 2 years from now and rtx 2080Ti is the new generation card
can yoy help me with my decision please?? i am very confused and i dont know what to do in this case.

I am very confused because some people told me to buy 1080 ti and some another people told me to buy 2080 Ti rtx because they believe that the newst games will be compatible with dlss and rtx technology and also the new drives from 2080Ti rtx will make the 2080Ti better in perform, ance in the newest games, from 1080 ti …
what is the difference between 2080 Ti rtx and 1080 ti? 2080Ti rtx has the same performance like 1080 ti>? in games?? or 1080 ti is better from 2080Ti rtx??
the vram memory between 1080 ti and rtx 2080TI is the same?
the benchmarks what they say for the 1080 ti and 2080 Ti rtx?/ do you believe that 2080TI rtx is more futureproof from 1080 ti??
if i will buy one 2080 ti now for how long will last me for ultra gaming and 2K/144hz and 1440p in resolution 2560 x 1440??
will hold me for 2 years from now to play games in ultra settings in resolution 2560 x 1440??/
because i dont want to buy example one card in 600 euros and then after 1 year to buy another
do you understand what i mean?

can you tell me please??
do you believe that 2080 TI rtx will be more powerfull if Driver updates could well improve performance - especially if the initial drivers have issues?? DLSS support could increase frame-rates for many titles and provides future-proofing?? Newer games with more modern engines tend to perform better on RTX hardware??

Would be really grateful for advice, thanks!

evga FTW3 is one of the best, and EVGA has great customer support.

Gaming X trio is also good. Get the cheapest.

A 2080 would be the equivalent to the 1080 ti you initially wanted, and will run 1440p very well for a long time. A 2080 ti is more appropriate for 4K gaming, in my opinion, but you can check benchmarks to see what is acceptable to you.

Double check everything, I am usually wrong.

IIRC Nvidia cleared that up, they're test units that somehow got into the wild, once they're all RMAd the proper production models should be fine.

please do not SPAM our forums. we are worldwide and not everyone is on to answer your question with a proper suggestion or solution. we ask at least 24hrs for best exposure to the forum. all of your threads and multiple comment have been merged into this thread. in the future, do not make several topics/comments on the same subject. that will cease thread participation very quick..
