Look to see the condition of it, and ask the seller how it was used (such as if it was mined with or such). Also, even tho buying from eBay is a valid option, my experiences with it are usually negative lol, but I always got my money back from eBay's money back guarantee.

I have personally purchased over 12 used GPUs from eBay, all with success. Its important to pay attention to the seller and their feedback and history.

Gaming - Ryzen 5800X3D | 64GB 3200mhz  MSI 6900 XT Mini-ITX SFF Build

Home Server (Unraid OS) - Ryzen 2700x | 48GB 3200mhz |  EVGA 1060 6GB | 6TB SSD Cache [3x2TB] 66TB HDD [11x6TB]

Buy from a user with a very high satisfaction rating (like high 90s-100%). I've bought two GPUs off ebay, a GTX 1080 FE, and an Asus Strix GTX 1080. Still waiting on the Asus 1080 (shipping problem that was my fault, not the sellers), but the 1080 FE I purchased about 2 years ago and it is still going strong. Actually I'm using it for the folding month as we speak (or as we type I guess), running at a pretty good OC at 80C for about 2.5 weeks straight. Overall, eBay has a very good money back guarantee, so even if you don't get what you saw, you will get your money back.

Funny you say that, if I hadn't entered my damn address wrong in eBay, I would probably say my experiences have been good. They have for the first GPU I bought.

I would look at the seller more then the gpu.If the sellers rate is under 98% i would skip them. Also pay with paypal or any credit card just in case they try something funny.

Don’t be ignorant of the hardware you want to buy.

Thats how all these people are buying old cards thinking they are new.

Even well rated sellers can sell crap.

Just need to know what you want. Good ratings help. eBay protection will pick up the slack.
