Kailh BOX Jades. Very tactile, and very satisfying to type on. They also just look nice. 

Also quite loud, and with a nice sound, both on the upstroke and the downstroke. 

This is not for all of Kailh's switches, just for the BOX Jades. As with everything else, you can't just generalise by brand.

Tactility:

Zealpc - Zealios

Kailh - BOX Royals or my personal fave, Novelias. Also, Kailh is constantly releasing newer switches with the help of Mike from NovelKeys, so they have more options compared to other brands. FYI Cremes (linear, POM stem on POM housing, "self-lubricating") are currently on GB if anyone is interested.

 

Sound:

Alps SKCM/SKCL - Any of them

Does that extend to the Matias switches? Because those are quite cheap. $50 for 200, so $0,25 per switch. That's only a bit more than Gaterons, and much lower than Cherrys or BOX switches.

Matias switches are Alps clones introduced when Alps were discontinued. I was considering buying some Matias switches but I would need a specific plate and keycap set for them.

 

From what users are stating online, Matias switches are close to Alps, but Alps still hold the cake with regards to sound.

For a stock switch Zealios.

With mods, MX Clear stems in Cherry bottom with Gateron top and spring from Gateron red, lubed with Tribosys 3204.

 

Why? Both for the smoothness and tactility.

can we use different keys on keyboard, example that cherry keyboard but want to change to zealios switch???
