Hey!

Looking for some suggestions.

Sniper Elites seem to be on a very big sale on steam.

Here.

Spoiler

And was wondering if anyone has played any of them?

I played the Demo of the first Sniper elite, and it was sooo much fun.

But I also bought then returned Sniper Elite 3.. Due to it was really bland... Wasnt much "Progression" ...

Sniper Elite 4 looks really cool from what i have seen, Also I have 15$ just sitting in my steam account.

Give me your thoughts!

3 and 4 are much bigger than 2 but I enjoyed 2 much more than the later ones.

Yeah, i think 2 had the more interesting maps (with more sniper covering and all that). The 3 is also cool, more colors and more beautiful but it's not as much "sniper" as 1 and 2 ... you can play (or have to play) some maps as sneaky/going from cover to cover with silenced pistol for example ... makes for a good variety in gameplay.

Played 3 for a short time after I played 4, there's a big improvement in visuals to the new game. If you do buy the whole bundle, make sure you play following the numbers. Havent played even older ones.

Most of my time is spent on 4, and you can really change the gameplay with your main weapon (silenced or not, accurate or not etc). What I don't like though is the hit-location assist. In all but max difficulty, you get a square telling you where the shell will go and it's so easy to shoot properly. If you managed to miss your shots with the assist enabled, you're susceptible to having a stroke. In max difficulty though there is no assist whatsoever, so good luck reading the wind meter and preaiming your targets. In fact it's only in highest difficulty that you need to be aware of ammo count. I did run out of ammo all the time at first and constantly end up playing like Hitman, doing short range kills rather than being a sniper.

Call me basic but SE4 is my favorite one of the bunch. SE1 (and to a lesser degree 2) were mediocre for me, and 3 was alright.

being able to shoot hitler in the peter and the twins is also great

Buy this right now and call it a day... $1.00 Sniper Elite V2

People are selling them left and right for $1.00-$5.00 because they are getting the keys for being a subscriber to Humble Monthly. One of this months games is Sniper Elite V2. Best game from the series by a wide margin. I got this same deal on eBay about a week ago and I've already put in 4-5 hours. I 1000'd the gamerscore on Xbox 360 many years ago. Looks and plays sooo much better in 1440p at 144 fps on PC. GPU and CPU barely even break a sweat too.
