Asus DVD reader keeps on spinning

My asus dvd reader keeps on spinning even though it has been ejected. Can someone help me? It is quite dangerous..

Thats odd, is there anything pressing on some sort of sensor? If not, try a different port if it is external.

no. the sensor keeps on crashing into the side

Hmm, try unplugging it and carefully bending the sensor back to its default position. If not, you may have to get another external drive. Be carefully not to scratch/damage your disks though.

it is getting real weird. it will read the content when it is ejected but it will keeps on throwing me error as in it keeps on unmounting and mounting when it is closed

my disc is absolutely fine, and it was bought not long ago
