Is it useful to run a game above 60fps on a 60hz monitor

I have a laptop with 60hz display, with a GeForce mx130 graphics card, can run some games at 8-90 fps at low settings.

Are there any advantages of it?

Tearing is less noticeable when you're getting over 90+ FPS on a 60Hz monitor, at least in my experience.
