Need help looking for ways to restore note on IOS

Never used and apple products, but a friend ask me for help.

As expected, most data on ios are gone after an update, he has some very important notes saved and gone..

tried some restore app with no luck only for Note, (success recovered everything except note. dont want to pay for something doesnt guarantee success)

I am amazed how many people who had the same problem after update and kept using it for yrs

 

is there any trusted recovery apps or xda forum?

Data doesn't disappear on updates on iOS. That's simply untrue. Data can disappear in a few ways:

 

1. User deleted the data beforehand

2. It was stored in iCloud or another account and the account isn't signed in

3. User restored the device, rather than updating it, with data not synced to the cloud still on the device

4. User moved the data to a different folder and misplaced it

 

So what exactly did your friend do? Just clicking update in the settings app doesn't delete anything.

he said he updated IOS and ..... data found missing

mails and others are all synced

device not jailbreak btw

couldnt find anything like root explorer for ios to browse files

There is literally no way to get to the file system of iOS. Check whether notes syncing is turned on for all accounts. It's something that's easy to miss.
