Logitech G430 cord is too long?

The Great Kamek

I am surprised and shocked to see this headphone's cord is so dang long! And I can't find any situation where I need it long though.

Yup. My Beyerdynamic headphones have the same issue. I just tuck them away behind my desk usually.

You probably have one of those 'not 250 Ohms' Beyerdynamic headphones with the 3 meter cable!

I have a Beyerdynamic headphone too, which has a coiled cable ('old telephone styled cable') which is barely over 1 meter long.

But seriously, some headphones have just way too long cables. Like my old Turtle Beach headphones had a cable that spanned like 5 meters. I get that the headphones were targeted at console player (which might sit far away from a TV), but it felt a bit overboard.

So a headphone suited for console play

Yeah. My headphones are the DT990 Black Edition 250 Ohm though.

Ah, I see. I have the 'non black edition' of those headpones and in their marketing datasheet I believe, they were saying the coiled cable was needed for 250 ohms. Those were all lies it seems!

Seems so. My cable is just a completely smooth standard rubber cable..
