How bad would mixing ground planes be?

Ok so I think the case of the Cassette Deck is used as the ground plane for the deck, so how bad would it be if my motherboards ground plane was in electrical contact with it through the mounting holes? 

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

well, you can just connect grounds to eachother no problem. i'm a service mechanic for welding machines, and i see this in those welding machines all the time. 

just make sure the case is also connected to the ground in the plug and you'll be fine!
