Best 144hz deal?

Sisx

I’d like to upgrade to a 144hz monitor. Any good sales right now? I haven’t really found a good deal. Not in my price range anyway lol. Under $200 preferred. Might go higher though

Under $200, so you're going for 1080p gaming or 1440p? 24" or 27"? IPS, TN, VA panel?

US. Yes 1080p. Don’t care much about the size. I currently have a 21”. GPU is MSI 1060 6G. I don’t know if that’s capable. Didn’t think it mattered that much lol. I’m a tech noob

yes, GTX 1060 = 10 is for the GTX generation, 60 is for 60fps.

so 144hz monitor would be a waste.

Well it's possible I will upgrade in the future. It wouldn't hurt to have 144 right? Surely anything is better than this. My current monitor - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009695

Best buy has the Asus VG248QE for $170 right now.

I think you have to be a member of Bestbuy.com which is free to register. I have this monitor and I did notice a difference going from 60hz in games like Pub G.

I have heard it may not have the best colors and takes some tweaking but I have been very happy with it over the past year.

I don't play super intensive games. Lately its been fortnite. I used to play LoL a lot and I know a higher refresh rate wouldn't make much of a difference on that. I play Overwatch occasionally. I just want something better than I have now.

Just now, IsaacThePooper said:

A GTX 1060 can totally play E-Sports title's like CSGO over 144 FPS

That's what I thought. I have GTA V but it's been months since I've even looked at the icon. I play super casual on that anyway like driving around. That's probably the most demanding game I have right now.

If you downgrade the settings, maybe you'd hit that 120FPS+ mark.
