2x8gb of ram reading as 8gb after windows update

Hey guys, my PC updated yesterday automatically as it usually does, as soon as I hopped on and played some games I noticed I was getting severe stutters and frame drops. I just now checked the task manager to see if anything was off and there definitely is. My ram usage is bouncing back and forth from 70-90 percent in games with almost all of the ram being used. My computer is reading that I have 8gb installed in one channel when in fact I have two 8gb ram sticks. My PC has been running at 16gb with no issues like this for awhile. I turned off auto updates so something like this doesn't happen again. What can I do to fix this? Thanks in advance.

 

Motherboard: Asus Prime Z370-P

RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB 2x8GB DDR4

Take ram out, put ram back in. 

 

Try swapping places for the ram.
