Need some advice on 2080ti

Been looking at buying a 2080 ti but not sure what one to buy brand wise I was looking at the msi ventus but is it also worth getting the oc version of the card?

I would wait on a 2080ti. There are lots of issues with them that is being worked on and sorted out, both FE cards as well as AIB cards. Wait a few months until things get smoothed out.

honestly I would just save my money and get a used 1080ti. 2080ti performance isn't enough of a jump for the price increase regardless of any issues they have ATM.

 

Skip the 20 series and see what the 30 series brings, or for 20 series prices to maybe come down to expectations when pascal over stock is gone.

it's not worth it getting the oc'd versions, but getting a custom pcb version will rid of the recent problems that's been in the news, but it's a pretty low chance and they point toward a bad batch. As others have pointed out, it's bad price:performance. However it is still the fastest card if you have a loose budget. 

 

So far i'd say the card is made for 4k/90-100fps, so it's not a terrible idea to wait a gen to get the full 4k/120 and you also give time for monitors to mature.
