Anyone have experience with the HP OMEN monitor?

DVA
 Share

Hi guys, well I'm buying a new monitor and with the Black Friday deals approaching (and some here already), I was wanting to know if anyone knew anything about HP's OMEN monitor.

I know there are the more popular ones such as the ROG Swift, the Acer Predator, Dell's series, and so on.

The  one is question has these specs:

144Hz/1ms

G-Sync

27"

2560x1440

If anyone knows about how well it displays, or any of the others I listed for that matter, than please do tell.

Thanks.

No idea on them, but they look nice and get good reviews.  Did you look at the technical review sites that do the sRGB and backlight testings?

How much is the 144Hz one?  The 165Hz one is $438 at Amazon.  Only a little more and you can be in the UWMR, you know :)

This never gets old, always makes me crack a smile on the UW recommendation :)

Wouldn't it look weird next to my current 27" though?

Also, no I have not looked on any backlight testings, if you have a recommendation for a website to visit I'd love to check it out!

The 144Hz is the same as the 165Hz, I assume the advertised 165Hz is just an OC'd 144Hz =p

I looked at this review for mine... https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/aoc-ag352ucg/

Didn't see the HP Omen on there, but you should look too incase I suck.

yeah, it'll look odd.  I'd sell the other 27" and put the money toward the UW, who needs a 2nd monitor when you have UW?!  That's like having a girlfriend when you're married to a porn star!

lmao.

OR. Buy two UW's down the line? :D

Gotta love multi-tasking.

Crazy how these smaller monitors run the same as a 55/60" TV :D

Lol, get like 10 and get a complete circle!

Man, they are so not cheap.  But I was just talking to a coworker this morning how TV's are one of the few items that actually get better over the years at the same price point.  Can you imagine 10 years ago thinking you'd get a 60" TV for $400?

How close are you to buying a monitor?  Is this what you've narrowed it down to?  Cuz you know as well as I do that any of them are going to look fantastic once you set them up and tweak them to your liking.

You just need to pull the damn trigger!
