Overclocking 3,0 Ghz to 3,7 Ghz Ryzen 7 1700

I saw a vid of a guy owning a r7 1700 and he tried to get it up to 4,1.

To do that he slowly added more and more mhz but at his first attempt he went from 3,00 all the way to 3,7 with voltages remaining the same.

Will that do for me as well? Can i just go to the bios and get my cpu from 3,0 Ghz all the way up to 3,7 with no voltage configurations?

Is it even safe? Can i see if its stable somehow ?

if you use auto voltage, then whether it works depends on how conservative the motherboard is in voltage.

It depends on the CPU you have. Silicon lottery sets how much voltage it takes for your CPU to be stable. Also, some motherboards by default do all core sync when you use XMP.

 

For example, I did a build for a friend where he lost the silicon lottery so bad that his 1700 was unstable at stock.

My r7 1700 is completely stable at 1.3V 3.7ghz. Dont use the auto voltage, on some motherboards it gives to much voltage to the cpu.
