Should I use an Intel i7 6700 non-k CPU for gaming? Should I overclock?

My friend just gave me a brand new i7 6700, and i wanted to know it was good for gaming. I was going to pair it with a Gtx 1070 ti and 16 gb of ram. Would this be good enough to run games like PUBG or GTA over 100 fps? Also, should i overclock it to 4.0ghz?

Probably not, unless you drop to medium low settings (for PUBG at least), dunno about GTA.

And you can't overclock that chip

No unless you drop the graphical settings.

It doesn't have an unlocked multiplier, so the only thing you can overclock is the BCLK but that can cause other problems and is not really recommended.

I get around 75 FPS with i7 6700 and OC'd GTX 970 at high-ultra settings at 1080p, you should be able to get over 100 FPS with a 1070 Ti.
