Yep. I build a PC for my friend with this motherboard paired with an R5 2600X. Everything is working fine

@porina

There will be better or worse models in either range. On AMD side I don't have experience with MSI boards. I have the Asrock B450M-ITX or whatever they have in the name. It's fine for my 2600 uses. I also have the Asus 1st gen X370 Prime Pro and B350M boards and again they work adequately even with overclocking. I have gone off MSI as I had a bad experience with their Z170 intel boards (poor bios, lack of updates, weird behaviour), but haven't tried others to tell if that was a one off or representative of current too.

Main system: i9-7980XE, Asus X299 TUF mark 2, Noctua D15, Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200 3x 16GB 2R, RTX 3070, NZXT E850, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, Acer Predator XB241YU 24" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync + HP LP2475w 24" 1200p 60Hz wide gamut
Gaming laptop: Lenovo Legion 5, 5800H, RTX 3070, Kingston DDR4 3200C22 2x16GB 2Rx8, Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB + Crucial P1 1TB SSD, 165 Hz IPS 1080p G-Sync Compatible

I've had some issues with my X370 Gaming Pro Carbon in my second rig as well, so as of last gen yes, BIOS still sucks compared to ASUS
