I mean.. As the title says.. Is it a good time to buy that card.. Or should I wait for 2050 or something.. Is there any news about it...

Also its is worth paying 200$ for that card.. Thats a lot of cash for a entry level card I mean.. Is there a better alternative from amd.?

If you were looking for an entry level Pascal card then you should only consider a 1050Ti.

A rx 570 out performs a gtx 1050ti and they are basically the same price https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti-vs-AMD-RX-570/3649vs3924

I am in India btw.. Thats the problem.. I have been trying to get a used 970 or 980 for the past two months.. Even a 960.. The used market here is not good.. And they sell the used products at the same price as they brought.. EBay.. Shipping and custom duty charges are a big headache here.. If I buy it it will be extra like 230$ for that card.. So thats the reason no ebay.

I don't think I'm spoiled to say that GTX 1050Ti was sufficient to run games like Killing Floor 2 at 1080p (Low). It was "just" and not any better than that. That was like one year ago when I was debugging something and I bought it in between before I went to GTX 1080Ti. Given that was 1+ year ago, it'll do even worse now. You really need to go with RX580/RX590 or GTX1060 to have good framerate at 1080p. Playing games at 720p or using some crappy scaling in late 2018 just isn't enjoyable at all. I've had 720p when I still had CRT monitor (1024x768 Philips) and I never had cutting edge displays or even graphic cards till now. That was ages ago.

have been watching bechmarks and i see like 30fps average on most games in medium and high settings on 1050 and 1050ti ... saving money just to buy graphics card is so hard since even the entry level one is also so expensive..

you should see what you want the card for, what monitor you have, what games you play, what cpu you have (avoid bottlenecks that will waste the gpu money).

That said for 1080p 60fps (i imagine this is a budget build), 1050ti is a good card, you can get away with medium to high in most games. AMD's alternatives are rx470 or 570.

I would say without knowing Indian market the best bet is a used rx470, because they are no longer for sale you can get them for cheap.
