Yes as long as its in the NVME m.2 port it will be fine.

Hello All

I have a core i5- 7600k with Asus Z270 Strix F gaming motherboard and 16 gb Ram. I already have a Samsung 850 Evo 250gb M.2 SSD (Not nVME type it seems). I installed it in the second slot since the first slot in the support nVME type alone (found that out after buying). Its working fine for over a year, but the 250gb is not sufficient for recent space hungry games and applications Now I am planning to add another 500gb m.2 nVME type SSD (Mostly Samsung  970 Evo).  I am not sure whether there will be any compatibility issue with board. I don’t have in-depth knowledge on these storage devices, so please bear with me.

Can I use both the drives M.2 drives together in that board or will it be waste of money, if I get one? Can you guys please guide me?

Note: I have an external 4TB hard drive for secondary storage. This purely for OS and installing games and applications.

Thanks,

Prince
