What are you doing on your pc?

Most don't really need the 2700 unless its for more workstation esc tasks

It definitely shouldnt be. The 2600 is a great processor-

What ram are you running? (What speeds?)

Your 2600 should not bottleneck any graphics card unless you're running single channel memory, have low ram speed, or have shitty CPU cooling.

Single channel ram my man, dual channel + fast ram is almost integral for Ryzen to run well

-8GB RAM is not enough for this caliber of build.(I wouldn't suggest 8GB for anything above a 2200G)

-Single channel affects Ryzen performance a lot. Go buy another 8GB 3000Mhz corsair stick.(Preferably same product same capacity same speed)

You won't get much more out of a 2700X if you're gaming in 1080p.  What you're missing is speed if you're not seeing the FPS you want at 1080p.  You'd have to get something that will clock 4.5GHz+.

Getting another 8GB stick(that's preferably the exact same as your current stick) will likely give you more FPS in game than upgrading to a 2700x.

Listen to the others.  The single channel RAM is impacting the performance.  You would find the same issue moving up to the 2700X if you stick with single channel memory.

I have a 2600 paired with a 1070 and it's a great combo.

Ryzen 2600 - Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 - Corsair Vengeance LED DDR4 3000 C15 2x8GB - Corsair Force MP500 NVMe PCIe M.2 240GB - 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB -

AsRock B450 PRO4 - Deepcool Earlkase Case -  Seasonic Foucus+ 650

Well, if you upgraded to a 2700X there wouldn’t be much performance increase since the RAM would bottleneck it

That's a Problem, you should have two sticks for optimal performance. One cripples the CPU tremendously.

Problem is 2fold:

a) only 8GiB Memory

b) Single Channel

both could cause the Problems you have right now.
