What's the optimal motherboard to go with a ryzen 5 2600x

Hey peeps, planning to get a ryzen 5 2600x in the near future and am thinking on what motherboard would fit best. Currently I'm sticking yo the gigabyte b450 auros Pro for budget purposes but I am willing to break the bank alittle :)

Thanks in advance

you grab a regular r5 2600 and a B450 tomahawk and grab a aftermarket cooler like an Dark rock 4 and overclock.

The x470 Aorus ultra gaming has been very satisfying thus far, and also has a few variants, with the gaming 5 and 7

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

the 2600x and 2600 aren't inflated right now. Depending on what card you get and where, it might be higher, lower, or right at MSRP. The b450 tomahawk is a great board, but  @fasauceome 's suggestions are good if you have some extra $$

I would suggest the following

2600 or 2600x depending on the difference in price

The aorus isn't a bad board, but take a look into the msi tomahawk and asrock pro4. Look which one is cheaper: 1060 or rx 580 as they perform about the same

Try to get 3000+ mhz ram

A little cheaper ssd is fine too

Get a cooler like the artic freezer 33 esports if you want to overclock, if not use the stock one

The case is okay, but nothing exeptional
