asus rog centurion true 7.1 only using front speakers

orze

so after a long time i wanted 1 i got myself "asus rog centurion true 7.1"

and i cant say im disappointed really....i enjoy its sound and its a step up over my old razer kraken 7.1.

the true 7.1 is amazing and the sound range is good!

i got 1 problem with them....wan it gets to music or games who dont support 7.1....there.....ah....

i mean there still beter then my old kraken in my eyes!

sound is still great. but only 1 of the 4 speakers i got on each side seems to be used

the front 1 to be precise as the rog program shows.

any1 got a clue if you can activate all of the speakers each side wan is surround mode. i mean id get much higher vol and sound and there is a sub in there so id get nicer lows id gess?

im not gona be disappointed if not because i still enjoy them just would be nice if i could...

You might dig around in the settings, but most systems call this "extended stereo" or "expanded stereo".   You can also use some Dolby/DTS filters to expand stereo to a surround setup.  I'm not familiar with the settings of that headset specifically, but that's where I would start.

Have you updated the drivers and firmware for your headset?  I found a discussion post on Asus's website saying a firmware update can help with some scenarios.

Its just in stereo mode only the front works.

Yeah, that's the expected behavior for a 7.1 system.  It still seems odd that Asus didn't include a stereo extension mode though.  I'm not sure I can help you further without having access to the headset and software myself.  Maybe try the Asus forum or emailing their tech support?  If there is an in depth user manual it might be worth digging in there too.

Sorry, wish I could be of more help!
