Business laptop recommendation

Caps

Hello.

I'm currently looking around for a laptop for my dad. He works as a project manager consultant and is in need of a powerful laptop. Some requirements:

* Business esthetics (nothing too "gamery")
* CPU, RAM and storage fast enough to run excel smoothly
* CPU and GPU powerful enough to run large CAD projects in SolidWorks and SketchUp
* SIM-card slot to connect to 4G without the need to use a phone's wireless tethering
* A keyboard that is comfortable to type on for extended periods of time

He has previously used HPs, Lenovos and, most recently, a Dell XPS 13 laptop without dedicated GPUs without a problem, but has begun working with companies that require him to work in 3D-environments on the laptop, and Intels on-board graphics aren't cutting it. I have been searching for something that would fit his needs without much success. Battery life and screen quality are not of primary concern. Any help you could give me would be appreciated!

Dell Precision ticks all boxes here, you can get nearly anything you want with it depending on how much you actually want to spend.

Where are you from? Budget? Any preference on weight and battery life? Does the workload benefit from Quadro?

Even though many users would disagree, I just bought a surface laptop 2, and I love it! The keyboard is fantastic, the screen is stunning, and the fit, finish and overall polish are outstanding. I am not the biggest Apple fan, as I would assume most users on this forum are, But after having this notebook for a week I finally get it, I wasn't too happy spending $1299 on an i5 laptop with 256gb of storage, but it is swift, and just feels fast in everything that I would use a notebook for. The downsides are; No expansion, AWFUL I/O with no USB C and only one USB port, and Apple-like prices with similar performance. Luckily I was willing to spend a little bit more for a great screen and battery life. I was also looking at a Lenovo Thinkpad because I like the retro style and expandability, also the Thinkpad's keyboard was AMAZING IMO, maybe even better than the surface laptop, but the 3:2 IPS screen on the surface book was the tipping point, it is almost the perfect laptop, and gets a HUGE recommendation from me!
