Help, Macbook Pro, New Air, or Surface Pro 6

Hey so I've been trying to get into coding and wanted to upgrade the old 2013 MacBook air I have, I'm stuck between the MBP MBA and SP6, I'm new to coding and was trying to learn stuff like Java, web dev, etc. I am in the apple eco system but don't mind the switch and configurations prices I'm trying to keep it under the 2k which of the 3 is my best option?

Not really a have too I like mac os have used it for years but I don't have an attachment to it, I see people speak highly of the surface so I'm considering it because I like the whole to in one factor, if the new iPad Pro could run Mac os I'd get it lol with that insane power but that's not the case

If I were to get pro I'd prob go with the touch bar version just for the extra two cores and the butterfly 3 switches since the 2 had the dust issues

Well if you can afford a Pro why are you even considering the Air?

No legit reason just cause I found one for 200$ off at micro center and if I get that I can use the left over for the new pro lol but again it's just a thought
