Which graphics card should I buy?

Hey guys,

 

Just wondering other people's opinions.

 

Planning on buying a GTX 1080Ti used on eBay.. So that I can get a decent brand, but thought I'd see what you guys think seeing as RTX cards are now out

 

I'm in the UK, and my budget is £600. I want the best possible gpu that I can get and to get it ordered asap. Just unsure on which to get, I already bought a 1080Ti last week on eBay but when it came I had problems and it would shoot straight to 91c as soon as I fired up a game. So I got it returned and refunded so I am aware of the risks of buying it from eBay, but then again you do get a 30day guarantee so that should cover me (Like it just did)

I'd say get a used 1080 ti, or if you need the newest stuff, get the 2070.

I'd still recommend a 1080 TI.

However, they'll go out of stock soon, so prices will rise.

Yeah kinda thought that was the best thing to do, that's why I went for one in the first place.. Just got unlucky with a card that didn't work

Go for a 1080Ti it's basically an RTX 2080 without the gimmicks. There are good deals on used 1080Ti's right now too, I'm considering picking up a second 1080Ti myself.

Hope you’re playing SLI optimized games, some games perform worse with SLI than without

Used 1080Ti would be your best bet, but buy fast. Prices are rising really fast due to lowering amount of brand new 1080Ti stocks. 1080Ti is the fourth best gaming GPU rn. Behind the Titan V(which you have to be dumb to buy for gaming), 2080(Which is not under $600) and 2080Ti(which is definitely not under $600). Don’t think you’d find cheap used Titan V’s, and 2080 and 2080Ti is too new for there to be cheap used ones.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think that there might have been some rumors about Nvidia discontinuing those cards to get better sales on their newer ones. I have no idea why, because they still seem to be making more money off of the 10-series cards than the 20-series ones. But the 1080 Ti has better performance and if you can afford it I would totally pick the 1080 Ti. We still have yet to see any games with ray-tracing.
