Skype Classic vs Skype for Windows 10

Hello!? I noticed that Microsoft provides two different versions of Skype, Skype classic (standalone installer) and Skype for Windows 10 (UWP). I just want to know that is there any difference between two versions? if so, what version would you recommend to use? Thanks in advance

Skype Classic shouldn't be available anymore. It was Skype version 7, but Microsoft dropped support for it little over a week ago. Now you have the desktop client or the UWP, which is merely a difference in how you run it, being a win32 app or a Windows Store app.

Skype windows app is always connected and impossible to completely disconnect or close the application completely. The classic you have full control over what it's doing.
