Yes, there will probably be Connector Problems as BTX is very proprietary.

And thus I'd recommend to scrap it as it will cause Trouble.

 

There's also the Power Supply.

One of them has a µATX Connector (same pinout as ATX but far smaller), the other one has a proprietary 6 or 8 pin Power Connector.

 

Another Thing:
One is the older, crappier LGA1156 wich only can do the 700 and 800 series Core i5 and i7.

The other one is an LGA1155 Board for Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge (2000 and 3000 series). And that's the last ones.

Giving that you have a C2D System, we're talking about a 12 Year old PSU or something like that.

 

So your PSU is probably in the Toilet anyway or might die any time soon. And you can't really replace it as its totally proprietary shit.

 

So upgrading is not possible or recommended. Replace it. Everything.
