I haven't payed attention in about....6 months the prices on Blu Ray internal ODD's but when I bought mine for my media center it hit....$32ish and I pulled the trigger, lowest I had found price wise when looking for one.  But to me this is a great price.  And just google Leawo if you don't want to buy software ;)

Agreed - But I like options, and that media hasn't been replaced yet completely with streaming and...man when the internet goes out and you have 2 kids, well you don't want to rely on streaming, trust me LOL.

 

For an HTPC imho this is a must have if you want it to do everything.  My HTPC even has an 4k capable Antennae hooked to it for TV stations. LOL

 

EDIT - and as a person who buys digital media a lot, its better to buy the Blu Ray + DVD + Digital Copy as the price is either the same, or negligible by a buck or two compared to just buying a digital copy - though I back my stuff up on HDDs, those can fail etc.  Just my thoughts on it :)

Its a very good price. Check around and you'll see blu ray drives are 60+.

Even as a backup - a blu ray ain't THAT bad.
