And getting a R5 2600 would mean a performance upgrade compared to my i5?

Why do you want to "upgrade" your CPU?

I have an i7-4770 with 1080Ti and from the games I tested there are no bottlenecks. But you gotta tell which games you play.

You won't get performance upgrade.
