Is there a big difference in resolution from 1440p to 1080p?

Is there a really big difference in just the sharpness of the display? Like can you see a biiiig difference? Is it worth 75$ more for the res upgrade?

It is a decent upgrade, but nowhere near the improvement of 1440p to 4k. I run a 1440P ASUS ROG Monitor and it is a very sharp image.

1920 x 1080 = 2,073,600 pixels @ 27" thats ~82 PPI

2560 x 1440 = 3,686,400 pixels @ 27" thats ~109 PPI

Its a noticable difference.

The biggest difference though is 4k as thats 4 times 1080p in pixels and double the PPI.

Oh yeah.

I sent my 1440p away for repair. In the meantime, I had an equally sized 1080p monitor as a replacement.

I tell you, I really missed having the extra pixels.

Depends on what you want. Fps gaming wise, I still prefer 1080p. Takes a lot for me to adapt the mouse to the extra space. Looks pretty good though, not like a 1080p monitor cant look good though.
