Looking for advice on new smartphone

Hi all, 

 

So I am using my OnePlus 2 still and I think its time for an upgrade. The battery isn't that strong anymore and the camera is not the best either. And I miss NFC... 

I love the 'near-pure-android' experience and the notification slider though. 

 

I was really hyped for the Op6T, since it finally brings the fingerprint reader back to the front of the phone (I use the phone a lot when it's laying on the desk), but since they dropped the headphone jack and the fingerprint reader requires you to wake up the device, i am not so sure anymore. The camera is apparently also not very good. 

 

What good alternatives are out there that have;

- near stock android

- headphone jack 

- "flagship specs" (soc, ram...) 

- fingerprint reader on the front 

- good camera 

- good follow up on next android generations

 

I dont care too much about 'no bezels'. A chin is fine for me. 

 

Or is there currently just no phone on the market for me...

Look at the Nokia models then, you may find Nokia 7 Plus or Nokia x7 tick your boxes

Just to add though, if OP is in the US, I know the 7 plus at least has almost no LTE support

I'm in Europe, so no issue there.

Might be worth waiting for the Nokia 9, or any of the new phones coming out early next year.

Really, though, you're going to find it harder and harder to match your demands. The headphone jack is dying out on phones; there's no getting around that.

I don't really see the big issue with the dongle though *shrug*
