i5-8600k for 200 euros

nox_

Hello, I have got an offer to buy 8600 K for 200 euros - 230 usd, is that a good pricing you think or I could do better on ebay or some similar site?Where I live, that price is  great, but all electronics in my country cost more than in US or Canada. If it's a  good price, could you recommend a motherboard, that could utilize the  OC capabilities of the k cpu? I'm kinda on a budget, I don't wanna over spend, so what  board would be the best for  the least amount of money?  It can be ATX or smaller, that's not important.

P.s. After looking on ebay I already have doubts about buying it..

Currently in most of Europe, the 8600K is €300+ and the 8700K is between €450 and 500. Other continents don't appear to be affected as much, so if you think it's worth it to you, go for it.

Personally, I'd say grab a Ryzen 5 2600 or 2600X.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

I would grab ryzen, but then I would need new board and ram cause I have 2133 ones, and I believe ryzen likes faster ones? Or am I wrong?

You already have a coffee lake board? Then why are you looking at the 8600K? Are you on a Pentium G5400 or something?

And yes, Ryzen wants 2666 or higher if possible.

Yep that's a good deal. You'll have to get a new board anyway as Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake don't have any compatibility between them. Any Z370 or Z390 board will do, pretty much. I'm not that in the loop for Intel as I chose not to buy into any Skylake and newer products.
